Whiskey Lullaby – CMA Song of the Year
I just spoke with Dave Carney. Dave is in New York City celebrating with his boss Keith Urban who won two awards from the CMA earlier this evening. It was loud wherever he was so we didn’t speak for long, but he did tell me that Jon Randall and Bill Anderson won song of the year for Whiskey Lullaby, sung by Alison Krauss and Brad Paisley.
UPDATE 7:43 AM: I’ve just learned that Jerry Douglas was named musician of the year last night at the CMA Award Show.

The IBMA has just announced that Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs will host the 2005 Awards Show for the International Bluegrass Music Association, to be held on October 27 in Nashville, TN. This will be the third year in a row for Ms. Krauss as a co-host, and a repeat performance for Ricky Skaggs as well.
