What are you thankful for?
On this wonderful fall morning in Virginia, John and I would like to extend a hearty Thank You to all who faithfully read The Bluegrass Blog. We love what we do, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to pursue something we love, but without you we probably wouldn’t be doing this.
We’re also interested in letting you have a voice to express your bluegrass thanksgivings. What are you thankful for today?

During the past year we have developed some of the most satisfying friendships we’ve had in our 43 years of married life. Many of them are with members of bands while many more are with the lareger bluegrass family. What could be better? – Ted and Irene Lehmann
I am thankful that i can still hear some pure bluegrass music.Most bands are adulterating it with the instruments playing none of the melody,only the rhythm .That is not bluegrass

I’m thankful that my sister, Rosemary and dad Rev Carl Howard, came out of surgery ok during the same week… the week right before Thanksgiving. She taught me how to sing harmony with her on the piano.. but daddy taught us both about Bluegrass by playing it and singing it in our Christian home on a daily basis. We still sing it in our little Newport KY church today, every Sunday, where dad has been pastor for 40 yrs.
I’m thankful that I still have both my parents – because I know more of my friends have lost at least one if not both at my age. I
I’m thankful for my husband, my children, my grandson, and my sibs, many friends who include my wwb broadcasters, and all of my Bluegrass friends that I’ve met over the last 7 years. I am especially thankful to John and Brance – for helping me to promote our online station WorldWideBluegrass.com – right here on the blog.
Money isn’t everything. Love is. I’m thankful for that fact.
Most of all I’m thankful for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
