Volume Five to Mountain Fever Records
Mountain Fever Records is today releasing the debut single from Down In A Cell, the upcoming album from Volume Five, a fine new bluegrass band from north Alabama.
Volume Five is Glenn Harrell on fiddle, Patton Wages on banjo, Chris Williamson on bass, Jesse Daniel on mandolin and Adam Duke on guitar. All five band members sing, with Duke and Harrell taking the lead vocals.
Before joining together in 2008, these talented pickers had variously worked with touring acts like Marty Raybon, David Davis, Randy Kohrs and Larry Stephenson. Their sound is aggressive, powerful, and clearly in the “contemporary traditional” vein.
The single is Like A Stone, written by Clay Hess, and sung by Glenn Harrell.
The single is available for download by radio programmers at Airplay Direct. Down In A Cell is set for an August 17 release on Mountain Fever.
