It is with great sadness that we note that Vassar Clements, legendary fiddler and dear friend to many people in bluegrass music, passed away this morning at 8:35 am. The Bluegrass Blog extends our deepest sympathies to Vassar’s family and his many friends and admirers.

He will be sorely missed.

More details, including arrangements and condolences, will surely be forthcoming on the official Vassar Clements site.
