Urban Monroes Bluegrass
The Urban Monroes, a fast-paced highly energetic bluegrass band from Portland, OR playing traditional and original material would like to introduce itself to everyone reading the Bluegrass Blog.
We would like to invite any bluegrass deejays that received Acoustic Rainbow Vol. 33 to check out the band’s version of “Time of Your Life” that was included on that CD. Poetman Records/Acoustic Rainbow has been producing radio compilations for worldwide distribution for many years. Previous releases have included songs from Del McCoury, Mountain Heart, and Pat Flynn just to name a few. The current release includes tracks from David Grisman and Pete Seeger and we are very pleased to be included in this volume. We hope you’ll give it a listen if you haven’t already done so. Our album is currently featured on the front page at worldwidebluegrass.com and you can hear us played there every day.
We would also invite anyone who is interested in hearing more from and about the band on the web to visit www.myspace.com/urbanmonroes or www.urbanmonroes.com. The band’s schedule is listed there and there are a number of wonderful festivals coming up that we’re privileged to part of. If you happen to make it to one of those shows please be sure to say howdy.
