Tour Taylor Guitars Factory
For all you guitar players out there, Acoustic Guitar Magazine recently published a nice walk through tour of the Taylor Guitars factory.
Complete with pictures at every step, the story takes you through an 18 step process beginning with the selection of wood for the neck, right through the final set up of the finished instrument.
It’s interesting to see their use of high tech machinery such as laser cutting machines, vacuum presses, and CNC machines, alongside old-fashioned spring and C-clamps.
If you’re into guitars, or into woodworking and instrument construction, the article should be worth the few minutes it will take you to read it.
