Topics include: bluegrass (Scruggs) style, melodic and single-string techniques, chordal techniques, playing with others (lead & backup), timing, rhythm & feel, music theory, composition and improvisation, repertoire, equipment, and banjo maintenance and set-up.
Level: Beginners to experienced banjo players are welcome.

Tim Wiedenkeller www.timwiedenkeller.com is a virtuoso 5-string banjo player who honed his playing alongside some of the most influential acoustic musicians of today. He teaches 3-finger-style, from traditional bluegrass styles through melodic and all progressive modern styles including jazz, blues, world, and classical. Tim worked for many years as a studio musician in Los Angeles in a myriad of diverse styles and continues to work as a television and film composer. He has received international acclaim for “Milagros”, his CD of original classical banjo compositions for the 5-string banjo.
