Thile in The Washington Post

how to grow a woman from the groundThe Washington Post had a short piece about Chris Thile’s new CD, How To Grow A Woman From The Ground, in it’s weekend edition. You can read it online here. It’s only a couple paragraphs but it’s great that Thile is garnering some attention for bluegrass music. After the phenomenal popularity of Nickel Creek, it’s encouraging to read comments like this for a more bluegrass oriented project.

These are terrific songs, and their rhythmic and narrative thrust focuses the leader’s talents as never before.
