The Lucy Opry – Memphis Area

If you live in or around the Memphis, TN area – there is a once a month show there you should try see.  The Lucy Opry is in it’s 40th year.  They book acts about once a month – 11 times a year anyway.  The performances are at the Bartett Performing Arts Center (Bartlett is a suburb of Memphis) and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Tickets range from $15-25.00 depending on the show (most are $15.00). The January show was the Grascals (sorry if you missed it – it was fabulous!).  Upcoming performaces scheduled include Dry Branch Fire Squad, Doyle Lawson, Larry Sparks, Tony Rice, Charlie Sizemore, Alicia Nugent, Blue Highway, Claire Lynch, and others.

I look forward to this show every month that I can get there. It’s well worth the money!
