The Infamous Stringdusters – contest
Next month on February 13th, 2007 The Infamous Stringdusters will release their debut Sugar Hill recording, Fork In The Road. We’ve said a lot about this group in the past and we’re sure looking forward to hearing this CD. Right now if you want to hear the title track it’s been made available through the iTunes Music Store.
Pre-orders are being accepted for the CD at this time and Sugar Hill has teamed up with D’Addario and Planet Waves to offer The Infamous Stringdusters String Prize drawing. Basically, if you pre-order the CD now you will be entered in the contest, and considering the band name this seems very appropriate. The prize being awarded is 20 sets of D’Addario EXP17 Medium Gauge EXP Coated Acoustic guitar strings, a Planet Waves Chromatic Tuner, and a Planet Waves Guitar Strap.
Go here to pre-order the CD and get entered in the contest.

We are delighted to announce the winners in our recent promotional contest, run in cooperation with The...

Can’t wait to get the new album… one thing that has me curious, however, is how Critter is in two places at once. He’s listed as a member of both the ‘Dusters and Chris Thile’s band, and both have pretty active touring schedules that would appear to make it impossible for him to be performing with both. Where is he spending his time?
I got a copy of the CD on Saturday, and will post some thoughts about it as soon as I can give it a good listen.
We posted last September about Critter’s intention to stick with The Dusters, and have heard nothing to the contrary since.
Bryan Sutton will be filling in again for a number of dates with Thile’s band. Critter will, as far as I know, be fulfilling his obligations with the Dusters throughout their 2007 dates.
