Solicitation for BlueGrassRoots compilation CD

The folks at Skipping Discs, who brought us Saturday Night Hay Fever: Bluegrass Artists Perform Disco Hits, is now planning a second release of bluegrass covers, this time for The Grass Roots, who some of us recall as a pop music powerhouse in the late 60s and early 70s. The new CD will be entitled BlueGrassRoots: A Bluegrass Tribute to The Grass Roots, and submissions are being solicited from bluegrass bands/artists who might want to be included.

Skipping Discs functions a bit differently from most record companies, in that they do not fund the recording of the material, but instead accept finished tracks from contributing artists, and pay a per unit royalty based on project sales. Anyone interested in submitting a rough demo for consideration can find the details on the Skipping Discs web site.
