Former Nickel Creek guitarist Sean Watkins has a new self-produced project which he has titled Seven Minutes In My Garage.

Though not clearly stated, one gets the impression that he is the only musician involved. There isn’t much descriptive information online, other than this brief comment from Sean on his MySpace site:

“7 Minutes In My Garage”- is a project that i’ve been working on intermittently for the last year and a half in my garage. Very strange.

Sean doesn’t have any audio samples from this mini-project on his MySpace page or his web site, though there is a brief clip on Nickel Creek’s MySpace page. I’m not sure how representative this 90 second clip may be of the entire project, but it tends to be fairly random and ambient, and it may not be quite the ticket for folks who enjoyed Sean’s flatpicking skills with the Creeksters.
