Plant/Krauss video debuts on CMT
The first single from the new Robert Plant and Alison Krauss CD, Raising Sand, is for the song, Gone, Gone, Gone. The world premier of the music video for the single will be on November 29 on CMT’s Top 20 Countdown.
The show’s format is the familiar countdown to number one, with choices for favorite videos each week being partly determined by online voting. The Gone, Gone, Gone video is set to enter CMT in a medium-heavy rotation, with better than 20 airings weekly.

I’ve seen clips of the video online and have to say the two singers look great together!
Another member of Led Zeppelin has also gone bluegrass recently; John Paul Jones produced the latest album for Uncle Earl, an old-time string band on the same record label (Rounder) as Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. In addition to producing the album, Jones played an assortment of instruments — mandola, bass, piano, Papoose and wobbleboard — on four of the album tracks. The one with him on piano now has a video — speaking of videos — and it can be seen at http://www.LedZeppelinNews.com.
