New to this Blog…saying howdy, y’all!
Hi there from Washington State!
I manage a hillbilly jamgrass band called Deadwood Revival. We’re “out of the box”, but bluegrass fans seem to love us anyway. Nice.
I have a question …. how are the smaller Bluegrass Festivals faring around the country?? We’ve had FIVE cancel this year in Washington and Oregon- mostly due to funding issues. It’s a very sad and disturbing trend in these economic times for both the musicians and the bluegrass lovers. DwR was booked for two of these now-cancelled festivals and I couldn’t help but wonder if this is happening all over the country.

Yep, it shappening down in the deep south [Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama]. The only we can do is to keep playing and hope business picks up.
