New lesson from BluegrassBooksOnline
Rick Williams has a new free guitar/mandolin lesson up at BluegrassBooksOnline.
This time out, he has arrangements of the popular fiddle tune, Big Sandy River. Two versions of the tune are available for both mandolin and guitar, with each version including tab, audio and video clips - all provided free of charge.
As Rick explains on their site:
“Of course nothing is truly free. We’re trying to sell books and CDs. But when you come right down to it, I’m a music teacher. It’s what I do and these lessons are our way to thank everyone who has purchased JAM TUNES and to entice more innocent souls into the twisted world of bluegrass.”
Like the Jam Tunes books, the free lessons include a tab file (PDF), audio for the melody and two rhythm tracks (MP3). He also includes a video file with the free lessons that has him playing the tune through slowly (WMV).
