Leadership Bluegrass Seeking Applicants
The IBMA’s program Leadership Bluegrass is currently seeking applicants for the 2007 event. The event will be held March 20-22, 2007 in Nashville, TN. The intent of the program is to bring together industry professionals who can network, and brainstorm ideas for dealing with challenges and opportunities faced by bluegrass music. Each class consists of 20 individuals. Alumni list here.
The criteria for participation and selection to the program include:
- A sincere commitment, motivation and interest in serving the bluegrass industry today and in the future.
- Music industry activity and experience.
- An interest in advancing one’s own and the industry’s professional or volunteer leadership roles.
The cost to participate is $250 if you are an IBMA member. Non-members pay $325 which includes a professional membership for one year. You must also bear the the expense of travel to and from Nashville as well as lodging during the event.
You receive a certificate as a graduate once you’ve completed the program, as well as recognition during a Special Awards Luncheon at that year’s IBMA World of Bluegrass. The deadline for returning application forms is November 15, 2006.
