We posted a note earlier this week about the birth of Joshua Andrew Miller, newborn son of NewFound Road’s banjo man, Josh Miller. Little Josh burst onto the scene Monday at nearly ten pounds.
We promised at the time to put up a baby picture as soon as we got one, and so we have.
That’s a couple big ol’ boys right there!

Josh Miller, banjo picker with NewFound Road, and his wife Jessie are celebrating the birth of their first child. Joshua Andrew Miller was born Monday morning (4/20), weighing in at 9 lbs 14 oz.
We'll post a photo as soon as we get it.

Wow... things move fast in the bluegrass world!
Just a short while after the sudden announcement that Jr. Williams was leaving NewFound Road comes news of their hiring of another red-headed banjo picker.
Josh Miller, formerly with Carrie Hasler & Hard Rain, will be holding down the banjo spot...
NewFound Road has posted live video from their show at Rudy Fest in late June. Two songs are available, both professionally shot and edited, of the band with Jim VanCleve sitting in on fiddle.

NewFound Road is back home after recently completing a west coast tour with fiddler Jim Van Cleve in tow. The band had shows in Arizona and California, taking a brief time out for a bit of tourist activity while in San Francisco.

And he tells us that guitarist John Miller is joining the group as of August 1. John was most recently a member of Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice, where he played mandolin...

We are pleased to publish another tribute to Uncle Josh Graves, this one from the 2006 IBMA Dobro Player of the Year, Rob Ickes.
I was able to go to the service on Tuesday, and it was a really nice tribute to Josh. Eddie Stubbs gave an amazing eulogy.

John Miller, who has most recently been playing mandolin and singing tenor with Junior Sisk & Rambler's Choice, tells us that he is leaving the group. No word yet about a replacement.
John says that his future plans are in flux, but it's clear that someone will get a strong guitar and tenor man...
We just received word that Josh Williams has announced his engagement to Jennifer Harper.
The two are scheduled to be married later this month, July 26, 2008, in Burns, TN where the couple plans to live.

Recently we told you about the announcement of the Josh Williams Band. Josh has since let us know some more specifics of his plans for the 2008 festival season.
For the next two weekends, Josh will be performing with the Alecia Nugent Band. He'll do shows with her on February 9, 10, 15 and 16.
