John Pearse 1939-2008

John Pearse 1939-2008The Bluegrass Ireland Blog has noted the passing of John Pearse this past Friday (10/31/08). He died in his sleep, in Germany where he made his home.

In addition to performing worldwide, John was a co-founder of Breezy Ridge Instruments, along with Mary Faith Rhoads, and had a number of instructional books and tapes to his credit, along with a popular line of guitar strings and accessories.

A Visitor’s Book has been set up on the Breezy Ridge site for anyone who would like to leave a remembrance of John. Cards can be sent to Breezy Ridge, and will be forwarded to John’s wife Linda in Germany.
