Jack Cooke to Guest on “Traditional Ties” This Sunday, 2/18.

Jack Cooke, is releasing his very first solo project on Pinecastle records. Jack has been playing bass for Ralph Stanley for thirty seven years, and many, including me, did not realize he had a very significant Bluegrass life prior to joining Ralph in late 1969.

Jack will talk about his life in Bluegrass, and several selections from his “Sittin’ On Top of the World” release will be aired. New Bluegrass from Ben Greene and new Gospel from Kenny and Amanda Smith will be introduced.

“Traditional Ties” presents new release Bluegrass with features and interviews, each Sunday from 10:00 PM to Midnight (eastern) on WYEP-FM, 91.3 Pittsburgh PA. Streaming audio at – http://www.wyep.org

Future and past show highlights, including guests and new adds are available from – http://www.wyep.org/tratitionalties. Show playlists are available on request. johntrout91@hotmail.com
