RSS Feeds

Here are links to the RSS feeds available for various categories.

RSS is an acronym for “Rich Site Summary,” which Dictionary.com defines as “A family of document types (generally based on RDF) for listing updates to a site.” RSS has also been defined as “RDF Site Summary” or in in more recent usages, as “Really Simple Syndication.” Wikipedia has more detailed RSS information as well.

Avoiding the tech talk, an RSS feed is sort of like a headline service that allows you to “subscribe” to a digest version of our blog, or individual categories that may hold specific interest to you. By refreshing this page when displayed, you can check for any new posts quickly. We expect that this feature will be especially useful during our IBMA week coverage in October.

If your web browser is capable of supporting RSS feeds you can use the links above to view or subscribe to the feeds. By clicking on one of the links above, you will see headlines for each post in that category, along with the first line or so of text. By clicking then on the headline, the entire post will be displayed. If you bookmark the headlines view, you can return any time to that bookmark, and all of the newest headlines will display.

If your browser is not capable of supporting an RSS feed, you can use one of many dedicated RSS readers, often available as free downloads.

There are a number of standards and protocols for RSS syndication, and some readers will display RSS content in different ways. Should you have any difficulty in reading/viewing our feeds using the links above, we recommend that you subscribe to our feed via Bloglines.
