IBMA debate
Friends: It enrages me that there would be any question as to having patriotic music at IBMA. Sure, there are people there from other countries, but we are the HOST country! If any attendees are offended(as if we did something obscene), at us honoring our own history and military, they don’t have to stay, or show up in the first place! If this event was hosted in Canada, or Britain, I would not be bothered in the least at an observance of their own patriotism! There is nothing political about this. If someone said, “support Bush” or, “ get rid of Bush,” that would be not appropriate for these music awards!! People at the MTV awards bash America and show their politics constantly, and no one makes a squeak of disapproval.
