Hillbilly Goddess update
On October 31 of last year, we mentioned that the forthcoming Alecia Nugent album, Hillbilly Goddess, on Rounder Records, was to be released on January 13, 2009.
Rounder has pushed that release date back to March 24, 2009, and chosen revised artwork for the cover.

Produced by Carl Jackson for Rebel Records, The Mark Newton Band will release a new CD this fall entitled Hillbilly Hemingway. Pre-orders are being accepted right now, and there are audio samples available for 5 of the 12 songs on the disc. Here's the track listing:
