I recently heard one of bluegrass’s BEST kept secrets, HARVEST WIND. I love bluegrass music and consider myself picky on what I like to hear and what I don’t. I heard Harvest Wind at a school in Princeton, W.Va. I was AMAZED to say the least. WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN? They are from somewhere in N.C., I bought their newest CD “Ancient of Days” and I have about wore it out. The band members were genuinely nice and treated me and my husband like we were the only people there. I want to give a SHOUT OUT to this band. They are awesome. They have a website at www.harvestwindband.com  The website says that they are on Lamon records and are endorsed by GHS strings – They are going to play at SPBGMA in 2008. Why is this band not plastered all over the blugrass magazines and websites? Are they that new? Here is a summary from their site about the band:

Harvest Wind is a bluegrass gospel group from the Statesville, North Carolina area but they are anything but typical bluegrass gospel. They have a tight four part harmony and, as their record label states, “top notch musicianship” which has pushed this group into overdrive. Combine this with their trade mark sound and this brings you to Harvest Wind, a band which has transcended bluegrass gospel boundaries and is becoming one of the fastest rising bluegrass gospel bands in the United States.
