G-2 Opening for Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver
G-2 did indeed open for DL&Q. They were gracious enough to loan Jamie Dailey a guitar. When we arrived late in Stockholm from Dublin, we found all our bags had made it, but Jamie’s guitar wasn’t there. We went on to the venue and SAS said they would try and get the guitar to the venue. Jamie had tuned the borrowed guitar and DL&Q took to the stage for their sound check. A guard carrying Jamie’s guitar walked in. SAS had sent the guitar on by taxi from the airport. It was a 25 mile trip and arrived just in time. Jamie always checks his guitar and this was the first time it didn’t arrive.
Bluegrass in Sweden is alive and well. DL&Q and G-2 played to a large group of enthusiastic folks.
