Dear friends and fans,

Today, it is with mixed emotions that I announce my departure from The Misty Valley Boys, the band I formed some 6+ years ago. My departure will be effective January 1, 2007. I have encouraged my two partners, Adam Poindexter and Steve Block to continue on with the band but at this point, I do not know their intentions. We are planning to honor the few shows that we have booked for 2007.

My life and career have always been measured by phases and it became evident to me, a few weeks ago, that my “Misty Valley Boys” phase was coming to an end. I must say however, that it has been one helluva ride! In the past 6+ years, I have experienced some of the happiest times of my life and I have memories that I will never forget!!

I would like to publicly thank all the people who have, in one way or another, been a part of The Misty Valley Boys. These names are in no particular order and if I leave anyone out, please accept my apologies. I would like to specifically thank my two partners. Adam Poindexter, who has been the guitarist/lead singer for The Misty Valley Boys longer than anyone else. Thank you for your efforts and your friendship! Steve Block, who has been the longest tenured bassist/bass singer for the group. Thank you for your dependability and insight!! Although not a full-fledged member, I would like to especially thank David Nance, dobroist/tenor singer. David made some big personal sacrifices that enabled The Misty Valley Boys to meet their obligations during the last quarter of 2006. For that, I will always be indebted!

I would like to humbly thank the DJ’s who have played The Misty Valley Boys’ music on their radio shows. I would also like to thank the promoters and event producers who have given work to The Misty Valley Boys over the past 6+ years. Oftentimes just because of their fondness for the band.

At this point, I am not certain what my next phase will be. What I am certain of is, it WILL involve bluegrass music in some capacity! There have already been a couple of options and others may become apparent, as I move towards 2007. Whatever the future holds for me, I fully expect to see alot of my bluegrass friends in 2007!
