Donna Ulisse and Poor Mountain Boys to play Douglas Corner in Nashville
I know I am getting older when I get excited about an early showtime! For those of you who feel the same way and are in the Nashville area, hopefully you will come out to hear singer songwriter Donna Ulisse and her band, The Poor Mountain Boys perform songs off of her new release “Walk This Mountain Down” this Saturday night, March 14, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.. The show will be at Douglas Corner, one of Nashville’s most popular music venues at 2106 8th Avenue South #A with only a $5.00 cover at the door.
“Walk This Mountain Down” has been in the Top 40 of the Americana Music chart in R & R magazine since February 2 and is also currently #4 in the Euro-Americana chart. It has also been added to the playlist of WSM Radio, home of the Grand Ole Opry. The CD is a new collection of self-penned tunes written or co-written by Donna. Ulisse will also perform favorites off her earlier release ”When I Look Back”.
For me, there is nothing quite like sitting in an audience and hearing the writer sing her own songs and share the stories behind the songs and when the writer is an accomplished singer like Donna Ulisse, it is an extra treat.
