Do you have a soundtrack?
I’ve often wished I had a theme song, you know, something menacing that would play when I walked in a room? I’ve always envied Darth Vader in that regard, but I never gave any thought to compiling a full soundtrack for my life…until now.
Many of you may be familiar with Sista Smiff, she was a guest blogger here on The Bluegrass Blog assisting us with blogging the IBMA Awards Show. She has her own personal blog and I read it regularly just to keep track of what she’s in to. A couple days ago she posted this idea (she got it somewhere else so it’s not original to her) of using iTunes, or whatever your favorite music player is, to create a soundtrack for your life. I did it and thought it was kind of fun so I thought I’d share it with you.
Here are the rules/instructions.
- Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
- Put it on shuffle
- Press play
- For every question, type the song that’s playing
- When you go to a new question, press the next button
- Don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool and no disclaimers allowed.
Here are the questions, or different scenes for which you need to assign tracks. I’ve left my own soundtrack in there so you can see what it looks like, just copy and paste and then replace my selections with your own. It’s not scientific or anything. There are some obvious errors in mine. I have 2534 tracks in my iTunes library and 195 of them are Del McCoury tracks. That’s more than I have of any other artist, and if you know me, you know that at least one Del tune should have been included in my soundtrack, I’m gonna have to chat with my producer about this…
