Del on the mend

Del McCouryDel McCoury is resting at home, recovering from gall bladder surgery performed on Saturday (12/12). He had been admitted the prior Thursday to Sumner Regional Hospital in Hendersonville, TN.

According to Chris Harris of McCoury Music, the surgery was conducted without incident, and Del was released on Sunday (12/13). Their official statement follows:

“The McCoury family would like to thank all of those who expressed concern and prayed for the family during this time. Del is anticipating a quick recovery, and is looking forward to enjoying the holidays with his family and resuming personal appearances and other work in January.”
