Dailey & Vincent on WFDU
Carol Beaugard, who hosts Lonesome Pine RFD on WFDU FM, is dedicating her entire show this morning (3/27) to Dailey & Vincent, and their upcoming sophomore release, Brothers From Different Mothers.
From 9:00-11:00 a.m. (EDT), she will feature music from the award-winning duo. Carol plans to spin tracks from both Dailey & Vincent CDs, plus cuts from their various recordings prior to hooking up together in 2007.
Then at 11:00, she will play an interview with the fellas which she recorded during the group’s recent visit to New York City.
Carol offered a preview of their discussion…
“They talked at length about the new recording, and acknowledged that while they continue to play straight-ahead, hard-driving traditional bluegrass, their repertoire is expanding to accommodate the tastes of their growing fan base with songs that could appeal to a wider country audience.
When asked what hopes the two band leaders envision for their future, they shared their dream to someday be in a position where they could appear at stadiums in front of audiences of 19,000 or more. They noted the growing popularity of bluegrass and the broad appeal their sound attracts.”
Lonesome Pine RFD airs from 9:00 a.m. to noon at 89.1 FM in the New York City market, and can be heard live online via audio streaming.
