Crooked Still Runs Dry

The departure of Rushad Eggleston from Crooked Still is a musical tragedy.

Sure, Aoife O’Donovan could be the next Alison Krauss and Dr. Liszt is so good he was chosen by The Boss over nine-thousand other banjo players for the Seeger Sessions aggregation. The band will be fine. But, like the Dead without Jerry or the Hot Club without Django, it just won’t be the same. At the very least they should change the name.

Rushad is a genius–if I was in a band with him I’d do anything he wanted me to do, even wear funny clothes.
