John and I recently returned from the IBMA 2005 trade show and fan fest. While there we recorded a great number of interviews with bluegrass professionals, including artists, songwriters, producers, and industry insiders. We will also be recording more interviews and discussions throughout the year as our paths cross with other bluegrass newsmakers. These audio recordings will be edited and released as podcasts on a weekly basis. The name we have chosen for this feature is The GrassCast.

The GrassCast will be available for individual download, or RSS subscription, right here on The Bluegrass Blog, and through the Apple iTunes Music Store.

Our first episode of The GrassCast will feature John’s interview with Jere Cherryholmes, and will be published later this week.
