Buster Sexton to Patent Pending
Patent Pending has announced that Buster Sexton has joined the band on banjo, a change necessitated by the sudden passing of founding member Jim Steptoe on August 30.
Buster has worked with a number of popular bluegrass groups in Virginia, including McPeak Brothers, Leon Morris and Associates, Chief Powhatan, Wayne Yates and Company, and a group he started in 1985, East Coast Bluegrass Band. His son, Chris Sexton, is fiddler with Nothin’ Fancy.
Patent Pending welcomed Buster with the following statement:
“These past few weeks have been a difficult time for all of us. With his professionalism, enthusiasm and warmth, Buster has been a ray of sunshine in our sad hearts. We are pleased and thankful to have him as a member of the Patent Pending family.”
