Bluegrass videos advance in CMT competition
We posted last month with news about a number of bluegrass, or bluegrass-related videos that were selected to compete in CMT.com’s Music City Madness online video contest.
The first round of voting has concluded, and two of the four we mentioned have moved into the next round.
Buncombe Turnpike’s Black Sedan and Cliff Wagner’s Old Fire are still in the hunt. Black Sedan is the only straight up bluegrass video left in the contest, while Old Fire is more tinged with old time and bluegrass influences.
This contest is run in a head-to-head bracket format, designed to mimic the NCAA Basketball Tournament. In each round, videos are paired up against one another, with the leading vote getter in each pair moving into the next round.
Today (3/5) is the last day to vote in this round of competition, so make your way over to the Music City Madness site if you want to see a bluegrass video stick around.
