Ask Doyle
In support of his new Rounder CD, Lonely Street, Doyle Lawson has launched a weekly online video series called Ask Doyle, where fans are encouraged to submit question which Doyle will answer online.
The first episode is in the form of a “behind-the-scenes” peek at an interview Lawson did with Bill Cody at WSM in Nashville. Bill manages to stump Doyle with a couple of obscure trivia questions about his long career in bluegrass music, which led to this Ask Doyle promotion, and a special trivia contest for Doyle Lawson fans.
Each Friday, a new video will be posted on YouTube, MySpace and here on The Bluegrass Blog. To submit a question for Doyle to ask in a future webisode, just leave a comment where you watch the video.
Here’s the first installment.
When the series has concluded, Doyle will host a trivia contest where all the answers will be found in the various Ask Doyle webisodes. If you catch each one, the answers will be a cinch. Winners will receive autographed copies of Lonely Street, other Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver merchandise, and one lucky winner will get a personal phone call from Doyle himself.
