2006 issue of The Bluegrass Guide now available

The folks at Mountain High Bluegrass Association asked us to mention that the 2006 edition of The Bluegrass Guide is available. The Guide contains an extensive list of festivals and bluegrass events, as well as band profiles, and is published in a Northeast and Florida edition.

This year’s issue has an extensive feature article, A Nostalgic Look Back at The Johnson Mountain Boys, by Candi Sawyer, who took over the publication of the Guide when Cuzin Al retired after 18 years of publication. The article tells how this terrific band came to be, and became so popular on the bluegrass circuit in the 1980s. Most of the JMB alumni contributed to the article, and fans of the band will surely want to have a copy.

The Bluegrass Guide sells for $10, and can be ordered online.
